Biography

I'm a strategic advisor and entrepreneur, blending analytical clarity and creative problem-solving. Over three decades, I've built, scaled, dismantled, rebuilt and reimagined businesses across design, construction, residential real estate and strategic consulting. This variety of experience through successes and failures is what shapes my work with founders at TableNetwork.

My career began unusually: I trained in furniture and interior design and then bought my first buy-to-let on the way to art school. What followed was a 30-year journey through design studios, construction teams, asset acquisitions, social enterprise and ultimately the co-founding of Prosperity Capital, a business that grew to a £500m development pipeline across the UK and Ireland.

Alongside growth came another side of entrepreneurship: volatility, misjudgment, market shocks and the humbling process of starting again. I’ve learnt that while success is instructive, failure teaches faster. Also, learning from other people’s mistakes costs far less in time and money.

That philosophy of learning from peers now underpins TableNetwork.

Today, I work with founders who want to think more clearly, execute more effectively and build calm, intelligent businesses rather than frantic ones. I believe a business should make life better, not harder. My approach blends the precision of engineering logic with the creativity of design thinking, helping entrepreneurs map risks, understand their annual rhythm and scale without losing their soul.

Outside work, I value time with my family. I speak daily with my two sons (one is my business partner, the other currently a ski instructor in Canada), I climb and boulder several times a week and I travel often (especially to France, for food, skiing and the Atlantic coast). I also like to hide the occasional musical or philosophical easter egg in the newsletter I write.

The TableNetwork story

I conceived TableNetwork to give founders the one thing that changes everything: clarity.

Co-founded with my son, Felix, our belief is simple:
No entrepreneur succeeds alone.
And In reality, no founder can see their own blind spots.

TableNetwork creates the conditions for success by providing structure, community, and the calm intelligence that comes from thinking together.

The organisation runs:

BusinessMark

  • An SME assessment that delivers clarity by revealing strengths and risks

BrainStorm

  • Monthly peer-group problem-solving sessions for founders

GamePlan

  • An online annual-cycle strategic programme for business owners

Tables

  • Premium peer advisory groups for experienced founders

Plus other founder-growth tools.

The TableNetwork mission:

To support and fund permanent housing for previously homeless people.

"Every Table provides a home."
A commercial business with a social purpose, deliberately engineered to compound.
